Product Design Intern
Summary
Stripe is seeking a Product Design Intern to work on real product design projects that will ship to users in production. You will collaborate with product, engineering, and design partners to craft, prototype, and refine user experiences.
Responsibilities
- Working on a product design project with a product team, translating business ideas into real experience.
- Helping craft thoughtful experiences that enable startups and large businesses to establish and manage their businesses.
- Applying problem-solving skills and human-centered approaches to address complex and ambiguous business and user problems.
- Developing and refine design solutions by partnering closely with other designers.
- Crafting and prototype visually polished experiences to get user feedback.
- Partnering closely with engineering to implement a feature/product from design to implementation, and get it in the hands of our users.
- Engage in group Design critiques and collaborative design sessions to improve and receive feedback on your work.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including engineers, product managers, data scientists, and researchers, proactively seeking and incorporating feedback.
- Understand and advocate for our users, participating in the design process from early concepts to final delivery.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a design-related field, such as UX/UI, Interaction Design, Human Interface, Computer Science, HCI, or a related discipline.
- Some experience using computer programs to design, such as Figma/Canva.
- Demonstrated experience designing experiences and user flows.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
- Ability to learn unfamiliar systems, form an understanding through independent research, and effectively work with a mentor and teammates.
- Self-motivated problem solver committed to personal growth.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to participate in a paid full-time internship between May–September (typically a 12-week program during summer 2026).
