Senior Product Designer, Design Systems
Summary
The Design Platform team is looking for an experienced product designer to help maintain and evolve Squarespace's mature design system.
Responsibilities
- Guide the continued evolution of Squarespace's design language and user experience
- Work with developers and content strategists to maintain, evolve, and create components and patterns for our library
- Establish shared user experience patterns across different platform features
- Be an advocate for platform cohesion, helping all of our product design organization speak in one unified voice
- Partner with and influence other design leaders in the organization to drive impactful changes to align our platform experience
- Ensure our work scales and flexes across a variety of global audiences, abilities, devices, and platforms
Requirements
- You have 6+ years of Product Design experience developing user experiences and interface design
- You've helped build, evolve, maintain, or contribute to a design system in a growing organization
- You understand product ecosystems, and can develop complex artifacts and systems that affect multiple features.
- You enjoy solving ambiguous problems and creating clarity through context, research, and collaboration
- You are expert at navigating technical complexity and collaborating productively with engineers
- You have experience facilitating workshops or other collaborative environments
